Apprenticeship Overview

Up to five apprentices and two production stage managers will be selected to work alongside industry professionals in supporting the STG and TCjr summer intensive productions. Apprentices will receive a $1200 stipend for the summer intensive program. Please note that Theatre Charlotte does not provide housing or transportation during the apprenticeship. All applicants must be 18 or older as of July 1, 2026. All apprentices will provide front of house, backstage or technical support during performances of each show.

SCHEDULE/CONFLICTS
The TCjr and STG summer intensive programs are just that. Long days and a lot of work in a short period of time, culminating in two full productions while building life long skills, experience and friendships. Apprentices are expected to be available during the following schedule, subject to change at the discretion of the production team.

The STG schedule is as follows:

Saturday, June 27th (TBD) orientation day/work call

June 29 - July 3rd (8:30am - 5:30pm)

July 6 - 10 (9am - 5:30pm)

*Possible evening work on July 8th or 9th*

Performances: July 10 (7:30pm)

July 11 (7:30pm)

July 12 (2:30pm)

July 16 (7:30pm)

July 17 (7:30pm)

July 18 (2:30pm)

The TCjr. schedule is as follows:

July 13 - 17 (8:30am - 4:30pm)

July 20 - 23 (8:30am - 4:30pm)

July 24 (8:30am - 1pm)
