Touchstone Center for Crafts
Touchstone Center for Crafts, a 501 (c) 3 organization, seeks new members for its Board of Directors. With nearly 50 years of actively connecting individuals to immersive craft experiences and promoting the development of technical skills, good design, and innovative expression, Touchstone is taking significant and strategic steps in key areas to strengthen its governance, programming and capacity to realize its mission. In order to maintain a strong Board of Directors, we developed a nominating process to provide prospective Board candidates an orientation to our needs and opportunity for involvement prior to actual board service. This process provides the organization and the candidate an opportunity to become familiar with each other's needs and for the volunteer to understand the goals and working of the organization. During the process, the candidate will learn the expectations for Board service and will have a chance to enter a pipeline by which qualified candidates will be ready to accept Board membership when an opening occurs.
