Troop Sales; Each year Troop 150 has its only fundraising event. The troop pre-sells Christmas tree recycling service in November and December. Pre-mapped sales routes are used to sell our service. Then in early January we pick up and recycle all trees. Scouts and adults earn shares for their scouts account base on how much they participate. This activity is time consuming and takes effort by all scouts and parents. It teaches the scouts how to present themselves to the public, builds confidence, and teaches the rewards of hard work.
Individuals Sales; Scouts (and their parents) are asked to pre-sell in their neighborhood as additional sales. The Goal is to have each scout sell 10 trees for pick-up and collect the 10 trees in one spot for pick-up.
Each scout is expected to sell a minum of 4 days.
Each scout is expected to work both pickup days.
