I understand that NSP participants must continue to fulfill research support responsibilities and staffing (e.g., postdocs and staff research positions). As a participant, I may not terminate the employment of supported staff in order to increase available funding for an NSC. Staffing changes and/or proposed layoffs connected to any fund source used to support an NSP funding or under the control of the NSP participant, will be subject to additional review.
I understand that my department, the Office of Academic Personnel and/or the UC System Provost/EVP Office may request data on my staffing personnel at any time.

I will not reduce my teaching, research, and service during the fiscal year of my participation in the NSP.
I understand that early withdrawal from the program is permitted only in specific circumstances, including separation from the University, loss of Good Standing, official disciplinary action (APM 015, APM 016, Senate Bylaw 230), misuse of funds, an increase in Base Salary that subsumes the NSC, or appointment to an ineligible administrative or title series position.·
I am in compliance with all applicable University policies, procedures, and training requirements, including the following: Patent Agreement, Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, Outside Professional Activities, Lab Safety Training.
If you are unsure of your compliance, please consult with your local CPO, Department Chair, and other School personnel for assistance in determining your compliance status before submitting your request to participate in NSP.
