Application for AMI Recognition

2026-2027

The Application for AMI Recognition is submitted for one or more program levels each year. Program levels include Assistants to Infancy for ages 0 to 3, Primary for ages 3 to 6, Elementary for ages 6 to 12 and Adolescent for ages 12 to 18. The recognition status is assigned to each program based on the AMI Standards as documented in the yearly application. Each program level receives a distinct status, which may or may not be the same as the other levels at the school. A recognition consultation visit is required for each program level in the first year of recognition, and every three years thereafter, to confirm the status documented in the application.

It is a requirement for recognition that a school abide by all local, state and federal ordinances, statutes, rules and regulations. AMI/USA reserves the right to refuse or revoke recognition whenever school activities are inconsistent with AMI/USA aims or when fees due are outstanding more than 30 days.

PAYMENT OPTIONS        

• Pay by Credit Card - includes 3% convenience fee. Application processing time is quickest when paying with credit card.
• Pay by Check - send to Association Montessori International/USA - P.O. Box 34910, Alexandria, VA22334-4910. Does not include convenience fee. Application review process can take 2-3 weeks longer when paying by check due to mail delays.
• Pay by Transfer (ACH) - to Truist Bank Routing #061000104 Account #1000176485653. Does not include convenience fee.
• Pay by Purchase Order/Invoice - Public Schools only. Does not include 3% convenience fee. Application review process can take longer 4-6 weeks longer when paying by purchase order due to mail delays. A copy of your purchase order should be included in your application. The application will be reviewed only after the purchase order is submitted.
