    Application for USP Site Visit

    May 2026
  • We welcome faculty and administrative staff to visit the Uganda Studies Program this upcoming May 2026!

Please fill this out even if you are not certain you can come. This will help us assess interest for the tour.

    Important Dates:

    • December 15, 2025: Registration deadline!
    • Jan 4, 2026: USP will email notification of acceptance or waiting list
    • Feb 8, 2026: If you are accepted, sending a copy of your travel itinerary will fully reserve your spot on the USP Faculty Site Visit. You will need to email it to: kimberly@ugandapartners.org by Feb 8. After which, if we have not received your itinerary, we will open your space up to the next person on the waiting list.
  • 5 days on-the-ground activities in Uganda:

    May 17-23, 2026

The Uganda Studies Program had hoped to cover all local expenses for everyone, as we were able to do in 2024; however, this will not be possible in 2026.

The on-the-ground cost for the 2026 program will be $500, which covers housing, meals, and local transportation. We’ve set aside a number of scholarships for campuses and faculty where we see strong potential for future student participation or faculty partnerships. For scholarship recipients, this will reduce the in-Uganda cost to $0.

Additional costs covered by your university will include airfare to Uganda (approximately $1,200–$2,000) and the Uganda visa ($50).

An overview of the itinerary can be found below.

    Travel FYI
You will need to arrive at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda Sunday May 17 and depart on or after Saturday May 23 to return to the US. We will send more travel information in our acceptance email.

If you would like to extend your stay in Uganda and engage activities at your own expense, we are happy to help you make arrangements.

We look forward to hosting you in Uganda!
