Application: Outstanding Tournament Director of the Year

The USTA Southwest Section honors individuals for their contributions in creating and providing an enjoyable tournament experience for players.
PURPOSE: This award is given to recognize the contributions of individuals who encourage competitive play in their community by providing and enriching sanctioned tournaments in a fun, friendly and professional manner. Nominees could be tournament directors, .

CRITERIA: Among the criteria to be considered when nominating:

1) Current USTA Member
2) Involved in at least one sanctioned tournament in SWS during that calendar year.
3) Displays knowledge of and adherence to USTA Rules and Regulations
4) Provides all required and pertinent information by deadlines.
5) Promotes sportsmanship among entrants
6) Publicizes tournaments to all socioeconomic groups and encourages community support
7) Promotes volunteerism
8) Available before and during tournament and is friendly and courteous to all involved with tournament
9) Strong consideration is given to amount of hours volunteered
Previous nominees may be resubmitted, but it is encouraged to find new, deserving candidates
