  • No Reservations and No Guaranteed Space.

    All guest spaces are obtained on a "first come first serve" basis, on the day of the market, and within the designated Free Speech Section.

    Guest spaces are ONLY for Not-For-Profit Organizations holding a 501c3 or  representatives of Civic, Governemental, Municipal, Social Service, or Public Education are allowed to table in the Free Speech Area.

    All guests MUST submit a Hold Harmless Agreement in order to table in the Free-Speech area of a UVFM Farmers' Market. You will be asked to leave if not found on the list.

    You will be shown where to set up by a Market Manager upon your arrival, space permitting, on the moring of the market. Visit our FAQ page www.uvfm.org/faq for more details.

    *For-Profit enterprises are NOT allowed to table in the Free Speech Area*

    UVFM reserves the right to ask you to leave should we feel you are creating a distubance to the peace.

  • PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING RULES CAREFULLY:

    • You are NOT representing a for-profit enterprise. 
    • ABSOLUTELY NO SELLING of PRODUCTS OR SERVICES or exhange of money in any way. No active solicitation of funds is allowed.
    • Only if pre-approved in writing by UVFM, may you collect charitable subscriptions or non-monetary donations (Ex:Clothes/Toy/Can drive). Please bring a printed letter of approval with you on the day of the market.
    • You are permitted no more than a 10’ by 10’ space in the designated perimeter of the Market. Guests must bring their own canopies, unbrella, table, chairs, displays, signage, etc. and are responsible for all set-up, take down, and trash. Please do not leave litter behind.
    • Keep your physical and audible presence contained within your space, including of customers visiting your booth, so as not to create congestion, block the walkways, or obstruct other neighboring vendors.
    • No roaming the market with fliers or signature collections, etc. No soliciting, barking, pressuring, approaching or cornering staff or visitors.
    • No vehicles may enter the market during operating hours. Find hours on the website.
    • No giving away of consumable foods/drinks due to the CA Department of Health's strict restrictions on processed food permitting and food transport. The only exceptions are small, wrapped candy and/or bottled water which may be given away. No balloons unless permission is pre-arranged.
    • Take all your trash with you at the end of the day.
    • Drawings: If you are having a drawing for a prize(s), please do not call it a Raffle on your signage. It is a Drawing. The following MUST be on the entry blanks or on a sign by the entry blanks: “No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. Winner need not be present to win. One entry per person. Not redeemable for cash.”
    • No pets, please. It puts us in violation of CA Health Code. (Animal adoption/shelter groups can request an exemption, but must get Pre-Approval form the office. Please contact INFO@uvfm.org to inquire.

    Follow all UVFM on-site Manager directions, and mandated UVFM safety protocol, at all times.

    UVFM reserves the right to ask you to leave should we feel you are creating a distubance to the peace.

  • HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

    GUEST, {organizationName}, shall indemnify and hold harmless UVFM, its officers, employees, agents and volunteers from and against all liability, loss, damage, expense, and cost (including, without limitation, reasonable legal counsel fees, expert fees and all other costs and fees of litigation) of every nature arising out of or in connection with GUEST's negligence, recklessness, or willful misconduct in the performance of work or activities hereunder, or its failure to comply with any of its obligations contained in this Agreement, except such loss or damage caused by the active negligence or willful misconduct of UVFM. It is expressly understood and agreed that the foregoing provisions are intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the State of California and will survive termination of this Agreement. Nothing herein contained shall be construed to require GUEST to indemnify UVFM its officers, employees, agents and volunteers against any responsibility or liability in contravention of Section 2782 of the California Civil Code.
