Literacy Champion Nomination

A Literacy Champion is a local classroom educator who has gone above and beyond to improve early childhood education in our community.

Now in it's 10th year, the Literacy Champion Awards are presented to two educators teaching in preschool through 3rd grade. Winners will be announced and celebrated at the 21st annual Business Breakfast on February 19, 2026 from 7am - 9am at the Tucson Convention Center.

At United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona we engage the entire community without regard to race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, age, gender, gender identity & expression, disability, sexual orientation, veteran-status, familial status, or socio-economic status. The Literacy Champion Award process seeks to create inclusion, diversity, equity, and access for all the amazing educators in our community.
