• UNSW Hockey Club - Summer Competition Registration Form

    October - December 2026
  • Missing hockey already or wanting to keep up the fitness before Christmas? We've got you sorted... summer comp is back for Tuesday and Thursday nights from October through to December!

    Competition Overview:

This competition is primarily an adult competition but stronger U16 - U18 players are welcome to join. The format is a social mixed 7-a-side on a half pitch (games are 25 minutes in duration with each team playing two games player per evening, either back to back or with a 30 min break).

Tuesday nights are more for social and beginners, and Thursday nights are more for competitive and experienced players.

Please choose a night you wish to play and all your matches will be on the same night at week.

It is a social competition with players from all grades including beginners.  The aim is to have fun and meet people so we don't record scores nor have a competition table.

Individual Registration is required: Each player must individually complete this registration form and acknowledge the risk warning at the bottom of the page. Please note spaces are limited and a waitlist will be created once we reach capacity. If you would like to play with a friend or pre-arranged team, they all must register on-time (preferable same day).  We'll do our best to accommodate your request, but you may be placed in a different team so we can fit as many ppl in as possible.

New to UNSW Hockey Club or don't have a full team? Don't worry! Sign up and come along and make a few new friends.

Registration Closes Sunday 04 October 2025, 23:59, unless sold out prior.

    What to bring:

    - Light and dark shirt. Teams will be designated as either black/dark or white/light shirts for each game unless a particular team colour is nominated.

    - Shinpads, mouthguard, stick (let us know if you need to borrow one!). All players are recommended to wear mouthguards and shinpads.

    Other information:

    - We play with modified rules including No hitting; No tomahawks; No overheads; No goal keepers; and no short corners. See below for more details.

    - Team lists, draws, and umpiring schedules will be emailed approx 1 week prior to the start date.

    - We aim to have a balance of men/women/juniors across different skill levels in each team. Beginners are welcome!

    Disclaimer:

Force Majeure. In the event that a game(s) has to be cancelled because of acts of God, COVID-19 restrictions, wet weather, bushfire smoke, strikes, equipment or transmission failure or damage reasonably beyond its control, or other causes reasonably beyond its control, the UNSW Hockey Club will endeavour to re schedule catchup games. However, if this is not possible, refunds will only be made available at the discretion of the UNSW Hockey Club Committee.
