This award celebrates an outstanding family medicine educator who exemplifies the tradition of "Physician as Teacher," recognizing those who have made a lasting impact on the field through their dedication to learners, patients, and their community.
Nominees should demonstrate the following qualities:
- Excellence in teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, research, or educational leadership
- Sustained commitment to family medicine education, with a track record of inspiring growth in students, residents, or peers
- Innovation in developing and implementing creative curricula, teaching models, or programs
- Compassion for both patients and learners, serving as a credible role model in the science and art of medicine
- Meaningful involvement in the community that enhances quality of life for others
- Current membership in UAFP in good standing
Nominations are due by August 15, 2026. The winner will be recognized at the UAFP Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner on Thursday, September 24.
