5) ENTRY FEE
The entry fee is $50 for VAA members and $60 for non-members - for up to 4 entries.

Artwork may be created from any media, in both 2-D and 3-D with the exception of video works. Work must not have been previously included in a VAA exhibit. 2-D works must be suitably framed or edge-finished and may not be larger than 84" (including frame). Works must be framed and appropriately wired. Complete exhibition requirements and guidelines are available HERE.
7) SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Titles and prices must be included on your entry form and cannot be changed after submission.
READ CLOSELY: Image filenames should be "Last Name, Entry #1, title.jpg", Last Name, Entry #2, title.jpg", etc. Failure to name files in this way will result in disqualification without a refund.
For example, Bill Jones' first entry entitled Starry Night would look like the following (comas and all): Jones, Entry #1, Starry Night.jpg
A diptych or triptych is considered a single work.
Maximum size is 84". All works over 60" must be installed and deinstalled by artist. Use of drywall anchor bolts are not allowed. Only conventional picture hanging hooks will be allowed.
Notifications are done by email. Make sure the email address you enter is correct and Exhibitions@VisualArtsAlliance.org does not go into your spam/junk box.
8) DELIVERY OF ACCEPTED WORKS
Hand deliver works to Spring Street Studios (1824 Spring Street , Houston, TX 77007) on Sunday, April 30 from 9-10am. Works not delivered by 10am will not be included. All works must remain on view until the close of the exhibit - no exceptions. VAA reserves the right to reject any work that is misrepresented or unsuitably framed, wired, etc. Works requiring special hanging or installation must be done by the artist.
Out-of-town artists whose work is accepted will receive shipping instructions in their notification of acceptance. Shipped artworks must be packaged for re-shipping (NO POPCORN) and must be accompanied by a pre-paid, return shipping label.
9) PICK-UP OF ACCEPTED WORKS
Artists must pick up their work on Sunday, June, 4 from 10am - 11pm. Work not claimed at that time will be discarded, as it is not property of VAA. Volunteers will pack work which was shipped from out-of-town and return ship to the artist.
VAA does not require a commission on sales of this exhibition.
This juried exhibition is open to all artists aged 18 and over.
EVERY PRECAUTION WILL BE TAKEN IN HANDLING ARTWORK, HOWEVER, NEITHER VAA OR SAWYER YARDS WILL ASSUME ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE, LOSS OR THEFT DURING THE EXHIBITION, OR AS A RESULT OF SHIPMENT. VAA reserves the right to photograph work or use submitted images for publicity purposes. Entering this competition will constitute agreement with all conditions set forth within this prospectus. VAA is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization.
