Out In Schools is facilitating a comprehensive filmmaking camp for
2SLGBTQIA+ youth* this summer!

We also welcome straight cis allies if they are attending with a 2SLGBTQIA+ youth.*
When: July 27th-31st, 2026, 9AM - 5PM every day
Where: Cineworks (1131 Howe St, Vancouver)
Ages: 13-17
What: Facilitated by Adonis Critter King (they/them), participants will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the creative aspects of the following roles:
- Screenwriter
- Director
- Actor
Through facilitated creative exercises and group activities, artists will leave the workshop with a developed outline for a film, as well as a written scene sample from the film. The schedule is as follows:
- Day 1: Story Brainstorming & Outlining
- Day 2: Character Development
- Day 3: Script Writing
- Day 4: Director Vision & Preparation
- Day 5: Rehearsing with your Actors
Total Capacity: 15 participants

Cost: $500.00 per person*.
*A limited quantity of full and partial scholarships are available should cost be a barrier.
