    Main Leads

    Dorothy (Mezzo-Soprano / G3 - B5)

    A young, 13-18 year-old, loyal girl from Kansas trying to find her way home while navigating her own coming-of-age.

    Scarecrow (Tenor / D3 - A4)

    Dorothy's first friend, who feels stuck in his field and wants a brain to gain intelligence.

    Tin Man (Baritone/Tenor / E3 - A4)

    A former human who lost his limbs and heart, seeking emotion to feel complete.

    Lion (Baritone/Tenor / G2 - A#4)

    A beast with a "yellow streak a mile wide" seeking courage, despite standing up for his friends.

     

    Supporting Leads

    The Wiz (Tenor/Baritone / C3 - A4)

    The fraudulent, temperamental leader of Oz who hides his identity as a regular person from Nebraska.

    Addaperle (Mezzo-Soprano/Alto / F3 - C5)

    The dizzy and friendly Good Witch of the North who helps Dorothy.

    Evillene (Alto / A#3 - C#5)

    The mean, cruel, and repulsive Wicked Witch of the West.

    Glinda (Mezzo-Soprano / C4 - D#5)

    The Good Witch of the South; a caring, wise, fairy-godmother figure.

    Aunt Em (Mezzo-Soprano/Alto / G3 - C5)

    Dorothy’s tired, no-nonsense aunt in Kansas.

    Uncle Henry (Spoken)

    Dorothy’s uncle, who runs the farm.

    Lord High Underling (Spoken)

    Evillene’s cowardly, sycophantic assistant.

    Royal Gatekeeper (Spoken)

    Guards the entrance to the Emerald City.

    Winged Monkeys (Spoken)

    Evillene’s minions.

    1. Callbacks May 31st at 5pm during dance auditions. If you can't make it for callbacks, let us know ASAP.
    2. Make sure you are checking your email regularly as all information will be relayed through the email you provide. Including callbacks, cast list and rehearsals.
    3. Bring 1 min. of a song to sing or dance piece.
    4. Have a 1-2 min. Monologue prepared or you will be required to read from one of our supplied sides.
    5. Headshot and Resume required.
    6. Walk-ins are welcome.
    7. Video auditions are welcome
    8. Video auditions open today and close Sunday May 31st at 3:59pm to be considered for a lead role.
    9. Dancers are NOT required to prepare a song or monologue to audition.

    • I understand that the responsibilities of this role may include learning lines, music, choreography, blocking, and any additional material necessary to perform the role as assigned. If cast, I agree to be fully prepared to perform the role as needed.


    Professional Conduct

    • I agree to conduct myself in a respectful, cooperative, and professional manner toward cast, crew, and production staff, and to follow all directions given by the director or production staff.


    Health & Readiness

    • I agree to take reasonable steps to maintain my readiness to perform and to communicate promptly if illness or injury may affect my participation.
