WELCA Family Day Open House

Spend family day with horses! Join us on Monday, February 16 for a free, fun-filled day at the barn!
Event Information:

Title: WELCA Family Day Open House

Description: Fun for the whole family! The Open House is open to the public: tour the facility, meet a horse and feed a treat, take a family portrait featuring a lesson horse in the Pony Photo Booth, learn about our facility and programs, and even ride a WELCA lesson horse with a *Pony Ride!

Cost: FREE!

Date: Monday, February 16

Times: Start times are available from 11:45am-2:30pm. The tour duration will be around 1 hour.

Location: Whitemud Equine Learning Centre Association (WELCA)

12510 Fox Dr NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 2L6

Open House Sign Up: Pre-registration is not required, however to ensure that your group will be able to start the tour when you arrive, we encourage you to book in advance.

If you do not register in advance, we cannot guarantee that a pony ride time slot will be available when you arrive.

*Pony Ride: If you would like a pony ride, it is $10 per participant. The Pony ride includes one lap around the arena on a WELCA lesson horse. This ride is on-lead and riders must be ages 4 and up to participate. Parents/guardians/friends/etc. will have a chance to take photos from the viewing area while the rider is on the horse. This will be followed by a tour time at the next available spot.

Early registration is encouraged to ensure the day runs efficiently, however, you will have the chance to purchase a Pony Ride onsite if spots are available.

Attire: Come dressed for the weather- a portion of the event will be outside. If you are signing up for a pony ride, please wear boots with a small heel (rubber or cowboy boots are great!). We will provide riding helmets.

Cancellation Policy: WELCA will not be offering a refund on cancellations or no-shows for this event.
