Mini and Junior Registration

This on-lead program for young equestrians is a great introduction to horse riding!
WELCA Registration: How it works!

This is a 3 step process, so that you can reserve your spots quickly.

1. Register up to 6 riders on the "Step 1: Registration Form" - reserve your spot and pay.

2. Step 2: Participant Information" includes important information for our coaches to know in advance. A link will automatically be sent to you after completing this form.

3. "Step 3: waivers"! Since parents/guardians/trusted adults will interact with horses in this class, a waiver is required for every rider and leader. The link to the waivers will be sent to you at the end of Step 2. You can also find the link on our website under our FAQ tab. Waivers must be completed one week before your program begins.
The Junior Rider Program

Time: 8:30am-9:30am
Class Dates: Saturdays, September 20th-November 22nd
10 Sessions
Rider Age: 6-8

The Junior Rider Program is a a progression of the Mini/Rider that is still primarily on lead but is building the student towards further independence and preparing to join the Learn to Ride program (ages 8+).

Time: 8:30am-9:30am
Class Dates: Saturdays, January 10-March 28

Rider Age: 4-6

The Mini Rider Program is designed to introduce students to introductory terminology, arena figures, riding concepts and skills while on lead. This is done through the use of games and

Program Requirements
Participants must be able to have two-way communication with the staff and be physically able to mount their horse from a mounting block with assistance from staff and remain balanced in the saddle without support.

A trusted adult that can walk for the full hour must be present to lead the rider's horse for the duration of the session. The first class is unmounted so that the instructor can go over horse and arena safety. Anyone who may be leading throughout the program must attend this training session. Waivers are required in order to lead a horse.

The Mini Rider Program

Rider Age: 4-7
Time: 6:30-7:30pm
Class Dates: Saturdays starting February 7 - March 14
Feb 7 - Unmounted Lesson. Riding - Feb 14, 21, 28, March 7, 14 - Riding Lessons

Class Dates: Tuesdays starting July 28th until September 1st
Unmounted Lesson - July 28 from 5:30-6:30pm (different time than other weeks)
Riding Lessons - August 4, 11, 18, 25 and September 1st from 5-6pm
