About WHS Membership:
Membership in the Walworth Historical Society is primarily for the purpose of supporting the mission of the Society--Dues and donations make it possible for volunteers to carry out the very important mission of preserving local history and sharing it with the public.
Members receive WHS Newsletters by mail or email at least 5 times per year. Members also get to participate in the governance of the organization by nominating and electing officers and trustees and by voting on important issues brought to the membership by the Board of Directors.
As a member of the Walworth Historical Society we urge you to take an active part in the WHS by attending programs and events and by volunteering your time. Many hands make light work.
Why do we offer different levels of membership:
Simple--we want membership to be affordable for everyone while at the same time allow for those who can and want to provide more financially to support our mission to be able to do so without having to complete a separate transaction (though donations above and beyond membership level amounts are always welcomed and can be received by visiting: I LOVE HISTORY & WANT TO MAKE AN EXTRA DONATION!). Please consider making your membership donation at the highest level you are comfortable with.
