Over the past several years the Walworth Historical Society has received numerous donations of photos, artifacts, scrapbooks, documents and other materials that are relevant to Walworth and regional history. In most cases, we have made a list, assigned an inventory number and then stored the items in our attic. We are finding a need for more shelves and proper storage boxes. Archival storage boxes are much more expensive than “regular boxes,” but they are needed in order to preserve the items that have been entrusted to us.
We anticipate the total cost to be in excess of $1,000. Our goal is to get started by launching this campaign. Since this is a fairly large expenditure, it cannot be covered within our normal budget process. We can purchase more supplies as donations come in. Please consider donating to our archive project.
