ADOPTION FEES, FOSTER-TO-ADOPT, MEDICAL CARE:

CONTRACT INFORMATION
I hereby agree that the required adoption fee covers *ONLY* the expenses for *pre-adoption* medical care listed, including Spay/Neuter, Puppy (DAPP)/Kitten (FVRCP) series vaccines, Rabies vaccine, Microchip, rescue administered deworming treatment(s), wellness/intake exam(s). Any additional care expenses are responsibility of the adopter.*

Pre-Adoption fees are required to be submitted in order to place specific dog/cat on adoption hold, removing them from being listed in the "Adoptable" pets list, to other adopters. Pre-Adoption fees are equivalent to one half the total adoption fee. Pre-Adoption fees are fully refundable no less than 24 hours *prior* to the day of the home visit. Any cancellation less than 24 hours before the home visit forfeits the pre-adoption hold fee and no refund will be granted. (ex. home visit scheduled for Friday, to receive refund, cancellation required by Wednesday).*

Adoption fees must be submitted in full, at the time of beginning the required acclimation period known as "Foster-to-Adopt". All adoption fees are non-refundable after the first 14 days of the acclimation period ("Foster-to-Adopt"). Adoption fees will not be refunded at any point after 14 days including if any pet is returned, reclaimed or surrendered as per earlier listed articles of this agreement. If said pet is returned prior to 5pm on day 13 of the acclimation period (foster-to-adopt) for any reason, and is not returned with any/all belongings provided at time of adoption, refund of adoption fee is waived by Adopter*

**ADOPTION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AFTER THE 7th DAY IN 14 DAY FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PERIOD. NO EXCEPTIONS. Foster-To-Adopt animals must be returned prior to 5p on Day 7 of the Foster-To-Adopt period in order to be considered to receive a refund of submitted adoption fees. All refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. If the minimum 14 day Foster-To-Adopt period is not completed, the Adoption fee shall be forfeited. If after Day 14, all adoption fees are non-refundable regardless of circumstances.

I understand and agree that *ALL VETERINARY CARE DURING THE ACCLIMATION PERIOD KNOWN AS "FOSTER-TO-ADOPT" IS PROVIDE SOLELY THROUGH WASHINGTON ANIMAL RESCUE ALLIANCE VETERINARY PARTNERS AND CLINICS. ***If a clinic/vet care appointments is refused by adopters, through an approved WARA partner, any and all care expenses shall be the sole responsibility of the adopter, BUT this does *NOT* result in approved adoption or transfer of ownership. Any veterinary care during the acclimation period known as "Foster-to-Adopt" is covered by Washington Animal Rescue Alliance *only* if provided by approved Veterinary/Clinic partners.****

If Adopter visit their own vet for care during the acclimation period known as "Foster-to-Adopt", *after speaking with Washington Animal Rescue Alliance staff*, this classifies as unapproved care. No refund of Adoption fee, or reimbursement of care expenses will be provided. This does *NOT* result in any early finalizing of adoption/transfer of ownership. Adopters further agree to give permission Veterinary Clinics providing care to provide medical records, invoices, chart notes and discuss patient care via phone with WARA State. And, to WARA staff to obtain visit medical records, invoices and chart notes, along with giving permission for WARA staff to contact and speak with their vet. Any adopted pet will remain under their pre-adoption name, for continuity of records, AND Washington Animal Rescue Alliance must be listed as owner on records during the acclimation period referred to as "Foster-to-Adopt".*

I understand and hereby agree that Washington Animal Rescue Alliance is not responsible for cost of vet care needed from illnesses and injuries sustained once living in their new home, during the acclimation period known as "Foster-to-Adopt", or after final adoption. Any and all injuries/illnesses are required to be communicated to WARA staff immediately for treatment plan for care with our approved Vet and clinic partners, and any veterinary records obtained for care during this time are required to be given copies of the WARA.
