NOTE: Some of our volunteer teams cannot support some personal needs, and some volunteer roles include safety-critical activity e.g. train and station operations. Volunteers in those roles may have to undergo a full medical examination.
'Disclosure & Barring Service' (DBS) check
An enhanced DBS check is needed if your role is likely to involve regularly dealing with vulnerable people, e.g.:
- Leading or participating in activities for junior apprentices, young volunteers, visits of youth groups or special needs groups, etc.
- Supporting educational visits, managing lost children or showing any other young members of the public aspects of your Watercress Line role.
