The Waterford Volunteer Awards recognise people who give their time, skills and energy to make a difference in communities across Waterford.

Volunteering can take many forms – from helping at events and supporting local groups to organising activities, serving on committees or simply being there when someone needs a hand.

Please note: Winners will be selected by an independent judging panel based on the information provided in the nomination.

There is no need to submit multiple nominations for the same volunteer — one strong nomination is all that is required.

    Eligibility – All Categories

    • Eligibility: The volunteer must volunteer in Waterford County and/or with an organisation or project based in Waterford County.
    • The nominating organisation must be registered with Waterford Volunteer Centre.
    • If your organisation is not currently registered, you can still submit your nomination and register afterwards: Register your organisation
    • Nominations should explain what the volunteer does and the difference their contribution makes.

Closing Date: Wednesday 9th of September 2026
