Personal Protective Equipment on the Waterfront (Video - 13:53)
This video introduces the variety of different PPE’s and their importance to the overall safety of the workforce. Emphasis is placed on hardhats, high-visibility vests, steel-toe safety shoes, and proper clothing for the task. Also included are references to other PPE devices such as gloves, dust masks, and fall protection.
Port Security – We’re Counting on You (Video - 27:35)
Included in this video are discussions on MARSAC levels, recognizing threats to the facility, how to handle questions from strangers about the facility, and participating in drills and exercises.

These videos focus on making the worker aware that they are working with, or around, hazardous materials and the responsibility they have in recognizing and reporting leaks and spills. This is done by giving the worker a basic understanding of the Global Harmonizing System and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Additionally, the worker is notified of the Hazardous Materials “Right to Understand” Communication that says the worker is entitled to be told that they are working with hazardous materials and provided the appropriate PPE’s to perform the functions of the job safely.
