  • Independent Contractor (1099) Position:

    This position is that of an Independent Contractor and not of an employee of Wingmom.

    Available jobs are posted individually on a job board, for both one-time services, as well as those that may be recurring. The job details as well as the compensation rate are communicated at that time. These jobs are assigned on a first come, first serve basis and no amount of working hours or compensation is guaranteed.

    Additionally, as an Independent Contractor you will not be eligible for benefits such as paid time off, overtime pay rates, worker's compensation or other benefits such as insurance. 

    Lastly, you will be responsible for ALL of your payroll taxes, both at the State and Federal level. Wingmom will issue you a 1099 at the end of the year and you will use that information to determine how much you owe while filling your taxes.  

  • Background Checks:

    Wingmom requires consent from all their Independent Contractors to conduct a Federal Background Check, which may include a Nationwide Criminal Database Search, Sex Offender Registry Search, Social Security Number Trace and a Statewide Criminal Records Search (7 Years), for the state/county in which you reside. 

    By giving consent you also acknowledge that you will be responsible for the upfront cost of the background check and agree that, until the results of the background check come back and you do not have any charges on your record that would prohibit you from working with Wingmom clients and their families, you will be unable to accept job assignments with Wingmom.

    Lastly, you understand that if you do not give consent, then you will not be permitted to work with Wingmom.

  • Handyman Services:

    Wingmom Handyman Service include a variety of tasks including basic handyman repairs, painting, moving and dump runs, furniture assembly, yard clean up and home tech such as installing cameras.

    Becasue of the nature of these jobs, most Wingmom Branches require a Business License and General Liability Insurance.

  • Theft Policy:

    Wingmom values all of their Independent Contractors, employees, clients and their property, and expects that Wingmom Independent Contractors and employees in turn value the company’s and its clients’ assets. Therefore, Wingmom does not tolerate any theft, or stealing of any kind, including but not limited to: fraudulent timesheet reporting, theft of money, tools, inventory or other items, information or ideas that belong to the company or to a Wingmom Independent Contractor, employee, client, or business partner of the company. As such, we expect all incidents of theft to be reported immediately to Wingmom Admin along with any data or information you have observed or obtained.

    Any Independent Contractors and/or employees caught breaking any state or federal law, including theft of private or company property or falsifying timekeeping records, will no longer be permitted to work with Wingmom with no warning given. In addition, a police report may be filed, as well as a potential lawsuit against the Independent Contractor and/or employee with a request for restitution of funds or products, inventory or assets. To prevent Independent Contractors and/or employees from false accusations, we will investigate all claims of theft and discipline any Wingmom Independent Contractor or employee making a false accusation. 

  • Drug and Alcohol Policy:

    Wingmom does not tolerate or condone substance abuse. It is our policy to maintain a workplace free from alcohol and other drug abuse and its effects. Wingmom Independent Contractors and employees who engage in the sale, use, possession or transfer of illegal drugs or controlled substances, or who offer to buy or sell such substances; the use of alcohol during working hours; or the abuse of prescribed drugs will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including no longer being permitted to work with Wingmom with no warning given.
