Position Summary
Women’s South Carolina Golf Association is seeking a passionate and mission-driven Part-Time Business Developer to help advance our nonprofit’s fundraising and development goals. This individual will focus on strengthening donor and sponsor relationships, writing successful grant proposals, and leading the planning of our annual fundraising event.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and relationship-builder with proven fundraising and grant writing experience, and a genuine commitment to supporting our mission and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Donor Engagement
- Build and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners.
- Develop creative strategies to grow annual giving and sponsorship support.
- Manage donor communications, acknowledgments, and engagement touchpoints to deepen support.
Grant Writing & Foundation Support
- Research and identify grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission.
- Write and submit compelling grant proposals and reports to foundations and other funding partners.
- Track deadlines and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
Annual Fundraising Event
- Lead planning and execution of the organization’s signature fundraising event.
- Secure event sponsorships, auction/raffle items, and community partnerships.
- Coordinate logistics, marketing, and volunteer involvement to ensure a successful, mission-centered event.
Organizational Support
- Maintain accurate donor and fundraising records in CRM or other tracking systems.
- Provide progress updates to staff and board leadership on fundraising initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership to align development work with the organization’s overall mission and strategic plan.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in nonprofit fundraising, donor development, or grant writing.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and donor appeals.
- Experience coordinating nonprofit events, preferably fundraising-focused.
- Self-motivated and highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating virtually with staff and board members.
- Familiarity with the donor management system HubSpot or CRMs is a plus.
- College Degree Preffered
Compensation & Schedule
Part-time (15–20 hours/week), remote with some flexibility for evening or weekend commitments around fundraising events.
Compensation: competitive hourly rate based on experience.
