  • Yorktown Library Make It On Demand Request

The Make It On Demand service provides adult York County Public Library cardholders with the opportunity to have staff create objects on the library’s 3D Printer, Glowforge, or Cricut Maker 3.

  • Please read the guidelines below before submitting your request.

    Process

Adult YCPL library cardholders in good standing may submit up to two requests (one file per request) per month for objects created on the 3D printer, Glowforge, or Cricut Maker 3. For the 3d printer and Glowforge, to maintain the integrity of the machinery, customers must use the materials sold by the library. For the Cricut Maker 3, customers may supply their own materials. A staff member will need to review the materials before using them.

Requests will be evaluated by staff for appropriateness. After approving the request, library staff will contact customers to notify them of the materials cost. View our current Make It On Demand Pricing for details. Customers must pay the charge for materials before staff will proceed with the job. Requests will be created on a first come, first served basis as staff time allows.

The Library reserves the right to refuse printing of any content at any time at the discretion of Library staff. Examples of specific content that will not be printed include, but are not limited to content or objects:

    1. That are prohibited by local, state, or federal law.
    2. That may be used as weapons or may be construed as having intent to harm.
    3. That may be obscene or otherwise inappropriate for the Library environment.
    4. That may infringe upon the intellectual property rights of a third party.
