Thank you for your interest in participating in the 4th Annual Community Day & Rib Throwdown hosted by Youth About Business and the Bordeaux & North Nashville Community on Saturday, August 15!
Whether you're competing for the title of Best BBQ in Bordeaux & North Nashville, showcasing your business, serving great food, or connecting with the community, we'd love to have you join us for a day of food, fun, and fellowship.

Competition Rules
Please read carefully before registering.
Entry Fee: $150 (due by July 31)
- Competitors must be available on Saturday, August 15.
- Competition is open to:
- Backyard Chefs
- Restaurants
- Food Trucks
- Churches
- Community Teams
- Meat pickup is 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM.
- The event host will provide:
- 3 slabs of pork ribs
- 2 packs of beef ribs
- Official presentation containers
- Competitors are responsible for supplying their own grills, smokers, cooking equipment, utensils, tables, tents, and all other necessary supplies.
- People's Choice tasting will take place from 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM.
- Celebrity judges will score entries based on:
- Taste
- Appearance & Presentation
- Winners will be announced at 5:00 PM.
- BBQ Competition participants are not required to provide a Certificate of Insurance unless they are also operating a vendor booth /food truck and will be selling food to the community.

Each approved vendor receives:
- One 10' × 10' vendor space
- Exposure to hundreds of community attendees
- Promotion through Community Day marketing
Vendor Requirements
- Vendors must provide their own tent, tables, chairs, extension cords, and display materials.
- Electricity may be available for an additional fee and is not guaranteed. Please note if you will need it in your application.
- Vendors & makers selling food, merchandise, or services must upload a valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) that will remain active through the event date.
- Vendors are responsible for obtaining any permits or licenses required by law.
Family-Friendly Event Policy
To ensure a welcoming environment for all ages, the following items or services are not permitted:
- Alcohol
- Tobacco or vape products
- Cannabis or CBD products
- Firearms or weapons
- Adult or explicit materials
- Hate speech or discriminatory materials
- Illegal products or services
- Any products or displays deemed inappropriate for children or families by event organizers
- Outside of the rib competition vendors, additional rib vendors will not be allowed to participate.
The event organizers reserve the right to deny or revoke participation if these guidelines are not followed.
