What is Selective Service? Selective Service is the process by which the United States government determines who is eligible for military draft. Most males between the ages of 18 and 25 are required to be registered within 30 days of turning 18. Registration is required by federal and state law, and is required for many federal programs and in order to be eligible to enroll at any LCTCS college. Your admissions application cannot be processed because your Selective Service registration could not be confirmed. Processing will continue after you complete the Registration Status and Certification sections on this form. Once completed, turn the form in along with proof of registration or exemption status.

If none of the above statements accurately describe your circumstances, please contact the Selective Service at www.sss.gov or 1-847-688-6888, to request a Status Letter than acknowledges the reason for your non-registration status. When you receive the Status Letter, please submit it with your submitting documentation to the Enrollment Support office.
