Commerce Lexington Ambassadors are engaged members who volunteer their time to build relationships, make connections, and help fellow members get the most value from their Commerce Lexington membership. Being an Ambassador is about more than completing calls or attending events. We are looking for individuals who have a genuine interest in the success of our members—people who are curious about their businesses and organizations, understand their goals, and look for ways to connect them to the right people, resources, and opportunities.
Ambassadors are expected to:
- Regularly connect with assigned members and build meaningful relationships.
- Learn about their members’ businesses, industries, goals, and ideal customers.
- Help members make valuable connections and find the Commerce Lexington events and opportunities that are right for them.
- Welcome and introduce members at Commerce Lexington events.
- Represent Commerce Lexington at ribbon cuttings, grand openings, and other community events.
- Understand and communicate the benefits of Commerce Lexington membership.
- Be an active participant and positive representative of Commerce Lexington.
- Help create a “go nowhere alone” culture by intentionally connecting members to people and opportunities that can benefit them.
- Attendance at monthly Ambassador Committee meetings is required.
- Meetings will focus on member engagement and retention, sharing successful connection strategies, discussing member feedback, and identifying ways Ambassadors can better serve our members.
- Returning Ambassadors are not automatically guaranteed renewal. Ambassadors must remain in good standing by completing member contacts in a timely manner and attending required meetings.
Applicants must adhere to the following:
- Work for an active Commerce Lexington member company.
- Have been active with Commerce Lexington for at least one year.
- Be available to attend required monthly meetings.
- Commit to actively engaging with assigned members.
- Be the only employee from their company serving on the Ambassador Committee.
