Dear Applicant:
The Nashwauk Area Community Foundation will be awarding three $1,000 scholarships this school year. One scholarship will be awarded to an applicant attending a traditional college, one scholarship will be awarded to an applicant attending a nontraditional or trade school and a third will be awarded to either based on the number of applicants.
Judging criteria is as follows in order of importance:
1. Community Volunteer Service – greatest emphasis
2. School Community Activities and Work Experience – equal importance
3. Goals and Aspirations
4. Applicant Appraisal
5. Grades will only be used as a tie-breaker
Please complete the application in its entirety. A thorough and legible application will increase your chance of being awarded a scholarship. The appraisal page of the application is to be completed by an adult that is a non-relative who knows you well and can attest to your character and experiences.
