2026 Summer Camp Staff Application
  • Summer Camp Staff Application

Please fill out this form if you intend to apply for a volunteer or paid position for our summer camps. If you have any questions, please email our Director of Camps, Amy Feigl, at afeigl@interatlantafc.com.
  • Paid positions are reserved for those 14 years of age or older.  Volunteer positions are reserved for those 13 years of age or older.  Please do not fill out the application unless you are at least 13 years old.  Discretion on who to hire rests solely with our Director of Camps.

We are able to hire approximately 25% of all applicants, volunteers included (around 75 staff), so please make sure you are aware that simply filling out the application does not guarantee an offered position.

Application closes on Saturday, February 28, 11:00 pm.

  • Camp Staff Roles and Descriptions

  • Based on your age, experience, and license level you are eligible to coach in specific capacities within certain commensurate pay ranges. Before moving any further in your desire to coach at an Inter Atlanta FC Camp, please review our Staff Roles, Responsibilities, Ages, and Eligibility doc (click the link below) to be clear on which role you could be fulfilling and what the pay ranges are for each role.

  • In short, there are three different coaching capacities.

    I.   Camp Staff Coaches (College Age and Adult Coaches)
II.  Camp Staff Coaches-in-Training CSTs (Coaches ages 14-17)
III  Volunteers (Persons ages 13+ looking for service hours)

  • Overnight Camps: Please Read Carefully

  • Overnight Camps are incredibly enjoyable and rewarding, but also demand much of each volunteer or hired staff. We usually have several open positions available for volunteer or hire each summer and are below.

    • Volunteers & Interns
    • Coaches/Counselors
    • Camp Nurse(s)
    • Athletic Trainer(s)
    • Runners/All-Purpose Staff
    • Directors on Site

Overnight Camps are a unique camp experience for both the camper and the staff or counselor! They overlap with much of what we expect for the campers and staff at any of our regularly scheduled and offered camps throughout the summer, but they also come with a specific set of qualities that all camp staff need to possess, in order to have a successful time away from home.

Overnight Camps generally require more of the "counselor" portion of a coach as compared to the "coach" portion, becasue it's so heavily weighted towards caring, managing and interacting with campers for extended periods of time.

Please consider these realities carefully when applying for our Overnight Camps.  Any incomplete applications will not be considered.

  • Why You Want To Coach at Camp

  • Please Read Carefully

Last Summer (2025) we had over 280 applications for summer camp coaches and volunteers.  We are only able to staff summer camps with about 125 coaches and volunteers, which means that well over half of all applicants will unfortunately not be offered a position.

Please make sure we know why you would like to coach this summer and what about you makes you stand out above your peers, so we can best decide whom to offer open positions to.

Parents: Do not fill this section out for your child (typing it out for them is fine). We want to hear from them, in their own words what makes them a good fit for this role and why they want to coach.

  • Process to becoming a Camp Coach after application submission

  • Applicants Chosen to Move on in the Employment Process

Applicants chosen to move on in their employment process can expect the following three email communications from our Director of Camps (some applicants have already received these emails):

    • 1st: An email outlining that we are moving forward with the applicant which includes an Availability form needing to be filled out within 5 business days. If the Availability form is not filled out within 5 business days, we will move forward with the next candidate.
    • 2nd: A follow up email confirming the specific camp weeks and times that are being offered to the applicant for their employment, based on open weeks and on their Availability form.
    • 3rd: One final email that outlines the attached applicant’s Service Agreement, which describes their compensation details and additional camp information. Once the Service Agreement has been sent, they will be considered officially hired.

Applicants Not Chosen to Move on in the Employment Process

Applicants not chosen to move on in the employment process can expect the following:

    • An email from our Director of Camps thanking them for their time and interest in working with us, but outlining that we do not have an open position for them at this time. Some applicants may receive additional information about working as a volunteer if no paid positions are available for them this season, but some will not be given that opportunity in their email communication.  Those opportunities are solely at the discretion of our Director of Camps.

    Staffing Decisions

Offered positions are considered very carefully, and we take many Director’s opinions into consideration when making decisions.  Prior working experience in the Camps Program is no guarantee for an offered position. When considering hiring an applicant, we evaluate: past camp work experience with us, work, attitude, work ethic, character, maturity, age, experience, license level, and more.

In addition to those metrics, we strive to balance each camp with a certain number of Lead Coaches vs Support Coaches, ages of staff and volunteers, budget considerations, number of male vs female coaches, etc.  Staffing camps is our largest but most important task each camp season.  Please be patient with us as we make our way through each application slowly and carefully.
