AFS-USA Global Competence for Teacher Education 2021 with Greece & England
Welcome HISD Educators! Thank you for your interest in deepening your global competence with AFS and other pre-service and early career educators around the world, specifically from Greece and England. We welcome teachers (K-12) that are in the first eight (8) years of their career or who are currently studying to be a K-12 teachers to engage in this opportunity. All HISD educators are invited to participate. There are only ten (10) spots available for this experience, but we encourage everyone who is eligible to apply as future opportunities may become available. Educators who are selected to participate will receive their global competence certification, a separate certificate indicating the number of hours of engagement, and a deeper understanding of global competence. By signing off below, you are committing to complete the asynchronous modules and actively participate in both the online forum and each live facilitated dialogue session. The Global Competence Certificate International Educator Pilot will take place over a 8-week period (October 25, 2021 - December 15, 2021) and will include both asynchronous work and synchronous dialogue sessions. Please read below and acknowledge that you understand the commitment that you are making as a participant in this pilot cohort.
