We’re inviting Lehigh Valley-based composers who have submitted their pieces to the Symphony over the past five years to join us for this unique and collaborative event!

SPRING CONCERT

Concert:                                                                                                    Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 7pm in the Rodale Room at Miller Symphony Hall.

Next steps:

• Please submit a sample of your work written within the last two years. The piece can be written for any instrumentation; please include a PDF copy of the score and an audio file (mp3). This is NOT the piece that will be performed in March. It is simply representative of your work.
• Each person selected will commit to writing a piece (duration of 3 minutes or less) for jazz combo and string quartet instrumentation - Spanish/Latin influence and Latin Jazz. Jazz Piano, jazz bass, drum set, string quartet (2 violins, viola, cello) or any combination of these instruments - to be performed on Tuesday, March 25. 
• Participating composers must be available for the following rehearsal dates:
  • March 24, 2025 7 – 10 pm for dress rehearsal
  • March 25, 2025 7 -9 pm for concert

Composers that are not available for these dates should not apply.  Attendance at these is required for participation.
