Every cat is different. So every cats adjustment to a new home environment is different. Some may come in and settle right in, others may take a few days or weeks to adjust. During the adjustment period it is not uncommon to see undesirable traits pop up that may not be within the cats normal behavior. Adjustment behavior can include vocaliztion, door dashing, not eating/overeating, scratching, and occasionally litter box issues.
