  • Evening Caregiver Support Group (Virtual)

    Date: First and Third Thursday of each month
    Time: 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
    Place: Online via Zoom

    Do you feel alone on your journey as a care partner to someone who is living with dementia?  Join other care partners for peer support and to learn new strategies that may help to decrease your stress. Each group will be facilitated by one of our counselling staff.

  • Grimsby Support Group (In-Person)

  • Long-Term Care Transitional Self-Health Group (In-Person, Time Limited)

    Do you feel alone on your journey as a care partner to someone who is living with dementia? The support group is designed specifically for care partners with a family member living in long-term care. Facilitated by our counselling staff, this series will help anyone adjusting to their family member being in care.

  • Men's Social and Support Group (In-Person)

    Date: Second Tuesday of each month
    Time: 10:00 am - 11:30 am
    Place: Major Refrigeration Peach King Centre (162 Livingston Ave., Grimsby)

  • Niagara Falls Support Group (In-Person)

    Date: Second and fourth Thursday of each month
    Time: 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
    Place: Niagara-on-the-Lake Public Library, Rotary Room (10 Anderson Ln., Niagara-on-the-Lake)

  • Frontotemporal-Type Dementias Support Group (Time Limited, In-Person, Waitlisted)

    Time: 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
    Place: Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region (1-403 Ontario St., St. Catharines)

    This Time Limited support group is designed specifically for care partners for those experiencing a frontotemporal-type dementia (FTD, PPA-primary progressive aphasia, Pick's disease, PSP, ALS, CBS). Facilitated by our counselling staff, this series will provide support, guidance and coping mechanisms according to the needs and interests of the group.

  • Young Onset Dementia Care Partner Support Group (Time Limited, In-Person, Waitlisted)

    Place: Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region (1-403 Ontario St., St. Catharines)

    This Time Limited support group is designed specifically for care partners whose family member/friend has been diagnosed with dementia before the age of 65. Facilitated by our counselling staff, this series will provide support, guidance and coping mechanisms according to the needs and interests of the group

Gathering this information not only helps us tailor our programs to meet the unique needs of our community, but it also plays a crucial role in our ability to apply for and receive funding through Ontario Health and private grants, which require detailed demographic data to support our initiatives. As a healthcare custodian, we are responsible for collecting, managing, and protecting this information in compliance with all applicable privacy standards. Your participation in providing this data helps ensure that we can continue delivering effective, person-centered care to those impacted by dementia.
