We, the members of the CUPE 1230’s Full-Time Part-Time, and Casual units are united in our demand for better pay and benefits, and respect and dignity as important contributing members of the University Community.
- Whereas the university continues to dismiss our value by postponing bargaining far beyond the expiration of our contract,
- Whereas the university states they care about their employees, yet has repeatedly treated us with a pattern of disrespect by consistently neglecting to offer student casual staff living wages
- Whereas the university insists on keeping us divided.
We the undersigned demand an end to the pattern that has left us among the last groups to negotiate a renewal of our collective agreement and we stand united with our fellow CUPE workers in locals 3261 and 3902 who are also in negotiations.
