We’re thrilled that you’re taking the first step toward applying for the 2025 ACBR Diversity Mentorship Program — a truly transformative experience designed to catapult your commercial real estate career!

Before completing your application, please take the time to carefully review the guidelines below to fully understand the expectations we have for our Mentees. This will ensure you are well-prepared to meet the program’s requirements and make the most of this valuable opportunity.

• Candidates must have a genuine interest in seeking opportunities or advancing their career in the commercial real estate industry.
• Candidates must have a maximum of five (5) years experience in commercial real estate.
• Candidates must be an active member of The Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS®, or must be a full member by the calendar year you are applying for. If not, the individual will be replaced by another candidate. 
• Candidates must come from an underrepresented race and/or gender, such as Minorities and/or Women.

Important Instructions – Please Read Carefully:

As you complete your application, it is critical that you keep your responses concise and impactful. Each question is designed to give us insight into your passion, goals, and readiness for this program.

Please ensure that all responses are limited to 200 words or less. We value clear, focused answers, so be thoughtful with your words while staying within the limit. Applications with responses that exceed this word count may not be considered.

Remember, brevity is key — this is your chance to shine, so make every word count!

Key Points to Remember:

1. Monday, December 2, 2024 – Application Deadline (Don’t wait—time is ticking!)
2. Mentee Interviews – Interviews will be held at the Atlanta REALTORS® Center for selected candidates. You’ll be notified with details if you’re chosen to move forward. Interviews will be brief but impactful, lasting 15-20 minutes.
3. Mentee Applicants will be selected in December and notified via email and/or phone call upon acceptance into the 2025 ACBR Diversity Mentorship Program.

A successful real estate professional works every day at establishing solid relationships, is knowledgeable in real estate trends, hunts prospect opportunities and uses competitor intel to stay ahead of the game. Time Commitment:
This is a year-long program beginning in January 2025, with the graduation expected in December 2025. Participation requires a significant commitment of your time, energy, and resources. Please ensure that you are prepared to dedicate sufficient time to fully engage in all aspects of the program.

Program Expectations:
The success of this program relies heavily on the initiative and commitment of the Mentee. You are responsible for scheduling meetings with your Mentor and arriving fully prepared for each session. This includes coming with a clear set of goals, questions, and a mindset ready to learn. Additionally, we encourage you to demonstrate appreciation for the time, guidance, and expertise your Mentor provides.

Attendance Policy:
Several mandatory sessions will be held throughout the year. These will be scheduled well in advance to accommodate your calendar, but attendance at all mandatory sessions is required for successful completion of the program. Mentees who miss more than two (2) mandatory sessions throughout the year may be dismissed from the program, with no exceptions.

Application Process:
This is a highly competitive program. Each application will undergo a thorough review process, so please take the time to thoughtfully complete all sections of the application. If selected to advance, you will be required to participate in an in-person interview as part of the second phase of the application process.
