Tutoring Program Policies and Guidelines
1. Program Overview
Our Tutoring Program runs year-round with breaks during major holidays. We operate on a Summer Tutoring Schedule and Academic Year Tutoring Schedule. Tutoring for the 2026-27 Academic Year is from 8/17/2026 to 5/21/2027. Tutoring sessions are offered either virtually or at the public library of your choice. Upon registration, you will receive a program packet that includes important dates, your child's tutor contact information, and program details.
2. Tutoring Fees
Tutoring services are billed at the rate agreed upon during registration. Rates may vary depending on subject, grade level, or specialized services.
3. Payment Policy
Payment are made weekly. Payment must be made the Sunday prior to the upcoming week's session. If payment is not received 1 hour before the session start time, the session will be canceled. Payments are non-refundable except as outlined in the Refund Policy. Payments can be made via credit/debit card (3.9% plus $0.49 processing fee), Zelle, or Step Up For Students (we are a Direct Pay Provider). Zelle payments must be sent with the student's name or invoice number in the note.
4.Refund Policy
Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance of a scheduled session will be credited toward a future session or rescheduled without penalty. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, including the morning of the session, are considered late cancellations and are non-refundable. No refunds or credits will be issued for no-shows. If the tutor must cancel due to an emergency, a make-up session will be scheduled at no additional cost.
5. Attendance & Cancellations
Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared for each session. If a student is more than 15 minutes late, the session may be canceled and marked as a no-show.
Families must notify the tutor by phone or email if a student cannot attend a scheduled session. Repeated no-shows (3 or more) may result in removal from the tutoring program without refund. Exceptions for late cancellations may be made at the tutor’s discretion in the event of a verified emergency (e.g., sudden illness, family emergency).
6.Code of Conduct
Both students and families are expected to maintain a respectful and positive learning environment. Disruptive behavior, disrespect toward tutors, or failure to follow program guidelines may result in removal from the program without refund.
7.Program Modifications
Tutoring schedules and tutor assignments may be adjusted to best meet student needs. Families will be notified in advance of any significant changes.
8. Program Termination Clause
The program reserves the right to terminate a student’s participation for repeated violations of the attendance policy, payment policy, or Code of Conduct. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
9.Force Majeure Clause
The tutoring program is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, internet outages, pandemics, or government restrictions. Reasonable efforts will be made to provide alternative arrangements, such as rescheduling sessions or offering virtual options.
10. Liability Waiver
By registering, you acknowledge that the tutoring program is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage incurred while attending sessions in person or virtually. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring a safe and appropriate environment for virtual sessions.
11.Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and will not share personal information with third parties without your consent. Student progress information will be shared only with parents/guardians and teacher's upon your request.
12. Agreement
By registering for tutoring services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
