    We are hiring seasonal temporary help for our upcoming sale in a variety of different areas (setup, sales floor, cashier, sorting, breakdown & valet taggers).

    Please note, children are not allowed to accompany staff during shifts

  • Valet Tagging Details:

    1) You must have sold at another JBF at least one time in the past and have tagged your own items. You do not need to be a current Seller to be a Valet Tagger.

    2). Valet Taggers earn 20% of all the items that sell for each person you tag and a $20 supply fee for the first 200 tags.  Additional tags = additional supply fees. Every Valet Seller must agree to let their items go Half Price.

    3). Valet Taggers shop early during our Staff Shopping time on Tuesday April 28th @ 12-8pm with up to 4 guests & 1/2 Sale on May 2nd at 4:30-9pm with up to 4 guests.

    4). JBF Valet Coordinator, will pair up Valet Sellers with Taggers that are close in proximity.

    5). Valet Sellers will bring their clean/washed items to the Tagger (or you may meet them).

    6). Valet Sellers may start to drop their items off with the Tagger at a day/time that is determined by the Tagger.

    7). Valet drop off will be Sunday, April 26th between 12-8pm. (no appointment necessary)

    8).  Valet Tagger is responsibile for tagging all approved items, dropping all tagged items at the sale & putting out on the floor.  Any items that were not dropped off at the sale will be subject to fees deducted from Taggers earnings.

    10.). We have a Valet Tagger forum (GroupMe) where you can ask pricing recommendations and ask tagging questions.

    Our Valet Taggers, on average, earn $350. The more you tag, the more you earn!

     

  • Valet Tagger Independent Contractor Agreement – 2026 Sale Season
    This agreement is between Just Between Friends Denton (JBF) and the Valet Tagger, an independent contractor.

    By signing, the Valet Tagger agrees to perform the following duties for the 2026 Sale Season:


    1. Independent Contractor Status
    -Valet Tagger is an independent contractor, not an employee.
    -No minimum hours or assignment requirements.
    -Valet Tagger is responsible for supplies, transportation, and any helpers they choose to bring.
    -Valet Tagger may opt to work temporary hourly positions during sale week; contact Amber for details.

    2. Tagging and Seller Responsibilities
    - Contact assigned Seller within 24 hours of assignment to schedule drop-off.
    - Complete tagging and storage of Seller items per JBF guidelines.
    - Inspect items for quality, count, prep, and proper storage.
    - Track items rejected; reimbursement of $0.50 per rejected item over 5 will be deducted from Seller check and paid to Tagger.
    - Track any “bag fees” ($5 per bag for trash bags) and submit on the Valet Completion Form.

    3. Payment
    - Tagging fee: $20 per 200 items. Collected at Seller registration; JBF will pay
    - Tagger via PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle after confirming drop-off. Tagger must email denton@jbfsale.com to request payment.
    - Valet Tagger earns 20% of each Seller’s individual sales. Payment is issued one week after the sale.
    - Tagger is responsible for tracking all fees and submitting the Valet Completion Form.

    4. Item Drop-Off
    - Store and organize items until sale.
    - Deliver and place items on the sales floor. Additional assistance or storage is the Tagger’s responsibility.
    - Items must be delivered in boxes/bins; no storage or return of trash bags. Bag fees apply as noted above.

    5. Compliance and Documentation
    - Tagger must follow all JBF Seller Guidelines (current for 2026).
    - Tagger must complete:

    A contract prior to pairing with a Valet Seller
    - NDA prior to receiving first assignment
    - W-9 for tax reporting; a 1099 will be issued if income exceeds $600/year

    6. Miscellaneous
    - No additional sale percentages, wages, or credit beyond fees above unless opting for temporary hourly work.
    - JBF is not responsible for providing staff or additional assistance.

    By signing, Valet Tagger confirms understanding of independent contractor status, responsibilities, and payment terms.

  • We do our best to match staff with their preferred roles, but occasionally shifts may be adjusted to meet the needs of the event.

    JBF Denton contract positions require a minimum 4-hour block. Below, you’ll find the days and time windows where staff are needed. Hours within these windows may vary based on event needs and overall staff availability, so please only select days and windows you are fully able to work.

    Important: Please select full-hour blocks only. For example, if you can work until 2:30 PM, select the 1–2 PM slot (partial hours cannot be scheduled).

    Your selections are used to build the schedule, so accuracy is very important. Once you indicate the days and windows that might work for you, we will follow up to confirm the specific hours you can commit to.   • Breakdown Shift Bonus!

    Staff working the breakdown shift on Sunday, May 3, from 6–11 PM will receive a $50 bonus in addition to their regular hourly pay.

    Important: This role involves lifting items over 50 lbs and loading them into trailers. Please be prepared for physical work.

    Sellers working Breakdown Shift will pick up their unsold items between 7:30-8:00pm then resume shift.  If hired to work the week of the sale, the bonus will be added to paycheck (not Seller check).

  • Texas Independent Contractor Acknowledgment – JBF Staff
    If you are engaged to work at this sale:

    1) Assignment of Shifts
    You will be given a selection of dates, times, and work areas. Your assignments will be communicated in advance for your approval. If you require special accommodations or prefer a specific role, please notify our Staffing Coordinator before the sale.

    2) Completion of Hours & Substitutions
    You are responsible for completing the hours you commit to. Failure to do so may result in no compensation or team member perks. You may arrange for another JBF staff member to cover your shift with prior approval from management.

    3) Independent Contractor Status
    You acknowledge and agree that you are working as an independent contractor, not an employee. As an independent contractor:

    • You will be compensated at the agreed hourly rate and may receive early shopping privileges.
    • You will not receive employee benefits, insurance, worker’s compensation, or any other benefits provided to employees.
    • You are responsible for all applicable taxes on your earnings.

    4) Compensation

    • All staff, except management, will be paid $10 per hour.
    • Checks will be issued via email within 14 days after the sale.
    • If you are also a seller, your seller check will be issued separately from your team member payment.

    5) Ethical Conduct & Confidentiality

    • You agree to work in an ethical and professional manner.
    • You will not attempt to learn or replicate JBF business practices, operational methods, or any proprietary systems.
    • All staff are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to their first shift.


    By participating, you acknowledge your independent contractor status and agree to the terms outlined above, consistent with Texas law regarding independent contractors.

  • As a VIP Team Lead you are invited to the VIP Shopping Experience!  VIP Shopping is both, Monday April 27th starting at 5pm and Half Price Sale from 4-8pm. 

    Another VIP Team Lead perk includes an option to be paid in JBF bucks for the hours that you work or are scheduled to work, Sat - Wed.  Instead of an hourly rate of $10 you will receive $10 an hour in JBF bucks for those scheduled hours.  The JBF bucks are only vaild for Tuesday night shopping.

    If you are working you will need to clock in and out during your shopping time.
