    We are hiring seasonal temporary help for our upcoming sale in a variety of different areas (setup, sales floor, cashier, sorting, breakdown & valet taggers).

  • Valet Tagging Details:

    1) You must have sold at another JBF at least one time in the past and have tagged your own items. You do not need to be a current Seller to be a Valet Tagger.

    2). Valet Taggers earn 20% of all the items that sell for each person you tag and a $20 supply fee for the first 200 tags.  Additional tags = additional supply fees. Every Valet Seller must agree to let their items go Half Price.

    3). Valet Taggers shop early during our Staff Shopping time on Tuesday @ 4pm night with 2 guests & 1/2 Sale on April 12th at 4:30pm with 2 guests.

    4). JBF Valet Coordinator, Tonya, will pair up Valet Sellers with Taggers that are close in proximity.

    5). Valet Sellers will bring their clean/washed items to the Tagger (or you may meet them).

    6). Valet Sellers may start to drop their items off with the Tagger at a day/time that is determined by the Tagger.

    7.)  Valet Sellers will be assigned a unique tagging account each sale so in the event they elect not to donate items then bring them back to JBF Denton the original Tagger will get paid the 20% again and again.

    8). Valet drop off will be April 7th between 10am-8pm and April 8th from 8:30am-10am.

    9).  Valet Tagger is responsibile for tagging all approved items and dropping all tagged items prior to April 8th at 10am.  Any items that were not dropped off at the sale will be subject to fees deducted from Taggers earnings.

    10.). We have a Valet Tagger forum (GroupMe) where you can ask pricing recommendations and ask tagging questions.

    Our Valet Taggers, on average, earn $350. The more you tag, the more you earn!

     

  • Valet Tagger Contract Labor Agreement:

    The Valet Tagger will perform the following duties for the 2025 Sale Season.

    1. Valet Tagger does not have a minimum to tag for. 

    2. Valet Tagger agrees to work to complete each Seller as they are dropped off, assigned Consignor will be held until previous assignments are completed.

    3. Valet Tagger agrees to contact Seller within 24 hours of assignment to arrange for drop-off of items. Items must be dropped off within two weeks or Seller will be removed from the program.

    4. Valet Tagger confirms item count, prep, proper storage.

    5. Valet Tagger purchases needed supplies for tagging, storing and delivering items to sale. A $20 tagging fee per 200 items is to be collected when items are dropped off unless Valet paid JBF Denton in advance.  If they paid JBF in advance, JBF Denton will pay the Tagger. Cash, Paypal or Venmo to tagger is acceptable for payment to Tagger.

    6. Valet Tagger inspects items to ensure they meet JBF Guidelines and keeps count of pulled items per Seller.

    7. Valet Tagger tags and stores the items until the sale.

    8. Valet Tagger drops off items puts the items out on the sales floor. Any additional storage, help needed unloading or placing items on sales floor is at the expense/responsibility of the Tagger.  Often Taggers bring a second set of hands to help.  JBF will not be able to provide staff to assist in the process.

    9. No additional sale percentage, wage or credit is paid to Valet Taggers. Temporary hourly employment is available during sale week, you may reach out to Amber for more information.

    10.  The Valet Tagger is responsible for tracking all fees as described below and submitting on the Valet Completion Form.

    11.  Valet Tagger will track the amount of items that are rejected and will be reimbursed .50 per item over 5 items with funds deducted from the Consignor check

    12.  Valet Seller will deliver items in boxes/bins that the Valet Tagger will not store or return.  If items are received in trash bags a $3 bag fee will be deducted from the Consignor check and paid to the Tagger.

    13. Valet Tagger will be paid 20% of individual sales for each Valet Consignor that they tag for.

    14. Valet Taggers work as Independent Contractors and get paid one week after the sale and will be asked to complete a contract prior to being paired with a Valet Seller. This is a separate check from the Consignor check if you choose to sell this season.

    16. Valet Taggers are Independent Contractors and must complete a W2, if income exceeds $600 in a calendar year they will receive a 1099.

  • Hired staff will shop April 8th from 4-8pm with 2 guests and 1/2 price sale April 12th from 4:30-8pm. No kids allowed until 6pm unless in a stroller on Tuesday.

    The contract position to work at JBF Denton is in at least a 4 hour block of time.  Below you will find days and windows of time we need staff.  The hours may vary during those windows based on need and staff availablity.  Please only select days/windows of time when you are able to work. 

    IMPORTANT - Please only select full hours.  For example, if you can only work until 2:30pm please only select the 1pm box (must be the full hour)

    We make our schedule around the date provided in this application so accuracy is key.  

    Once you select the day and window of time that might work for you, we will contact you for more specific hours that you are available.  Feel free to add a comment if you want us to know anything about your availability.

  • If you are hired to work at this sale... 

    • You have been given a selection of dates/times to choose from, and the area you work in will be of your own choosing. If you require special accomodations or prefer a specific position, let Amber know before the sale. Masks will be optional for workers.
    • In order to receive compensation, you are responsible to complete the hours for which you have committed to. Should you fail to do so, you will not be compensated or receive other team member perks. You are able to arrange for someone else to work in your place if you're unable to work. 
    • You will not be paid as an employee. Since you will be working as an independent contractor, you agree to accept an hourly rate and early shopping privileges. You will not be receiving employee benefits, insurance, workers compensation or any other similar employee benefits, since you are not an employee of JBF.
    • With the exception of Management, all staff will be paid $10 per hour.
    • Checks will be issued via email within 14 days after the sale. If you are selling, your seller check will be issued separately from your team member check. 
    • You will be working in an ethical manner and agree that you are not attempting to learn the business practices of JBF, operations techniques, or any other business matters that may or may not be trademarked, registered, or proprietory in any way.
  • As a VIP Team Lead you are invited to the VIP Shopping Experience!  VIP Shopping is both, Tuesday April 8th from 2-8pm with two guests as well as at the Half Price Sale from 3:00pm-8pm.  We will also give you two additional passes to shop during that time.  No kids allowed until 6pm unless in a stroller on Tuesday.

    Another VIP Team Lead perk includes an option to be paid in JBF bucks for the hours that you work or are scheduled to work, Mon, Tues or Wed.  Instead of an hourly rate of $10 you will receive $10 an hour in JBF bucks for those scheduled hours.  The JBF bucks are only vaild for Tuesday night shopping.
