    Bisque: Fired at Cone 04

    Glaze: Fired at either Cone 06 for low-fire earthenware, or Cone 5/6 for mid-fire stoneware/porcelain

    It's important you confirm whether your clay is low fire to prevent kiln accidents!

    Luster fire: Cone 018 unless requested otherwise

  • Kiln Share/Rental Details

     

    Firing fee is determined by the size of your individual pieces. Your pieces may be mixed with others to make up a full kiln load, unless you would like to rent a full kiln. To keep costs equitable, you will be charged proportionately based on only the dimensions of your own pieces.

     

    Minimum firing fee for pieces smaller than 1" x 1/8 of a half shelf is $2. For example: glaze test tiles, miniature items, flat tiles, etc.

     

    Price of a full kiln load: $150

    Based on total height of 25" x 21" diameter

    • Please note that this schedule is subject to change, based on community load and kiln availability.  

      If you would like to book a full kiln, please look for a free 1-2 day period between "offload" and "firing" days.  

      ("Offload" means taking out completed pieces. You can use this to book your pick-up times, too!)
