The Arc of the Capital Area has a few options for volunteering.
Adult Case Management Activity Night: The Adult Case Management program does monthly events such as coffee clubs, bowling, movie nights, and more. During these events, we utilize volunteers to support individuals and organizations to ensure a smooth process for everyone.
Schedule: Activitiy Nights are typically scheduled for the 4th Wednesday of each month from 4:30pm-7:00pm.
Art & Education Program: The Art and Education Program runs Monday-Friday from 8:30am to 2:30pm at one of our three satellite locations. The Art and Education Program is a place where our expert instructors are dedicated to guiding students on a journey of self-discovery and expression, offering four lessons each day- Active Recreation, Creative Arts, Elective Period, & Adult Education. Our mission is to promote client-directed goals, self-determination, social skills, and instill a sense of independence and pride in each participant. Volunteers will assist instructors and Arc Artists throughout the day while also assisting with additional studio needs.
