    Thanks so much for choosing Animal Aid for your pet’s holiday! Your booking helps support, rehabilitate and re-home unwanted pets who are in our care. Please complete the following booking form, and someone from our boarding team will be in contact with you via email within two business days to confirm your booking.
  • Bookings that include peak periods* will require an immediate deposit of $100. Your booking will not be considered confirmed until this deposit is paid. Your deposit is refundable up until 30 days prior to your booking start date. You will receive an automated email within two business days with instructions on how to pay your deposit.

    *Peak periods are from December 20th – January 31st, or Easter Thursday to Tuesday.

  • Under the Victorian Code of Practice for the Operation of Boarding Establishments, pets onsite are required to be fully vaccinated, dogs with a C5 or equivalent, cats with a F3 or equivalent. You will be required to show proof of up to date vaccination prior to your pet's check in.

    Indemnity

    • Boarding your animal has inherent risks and while all reasonable precautions will be taken by Animal Aid, exposure to other animals is likely.
    • The owner will inform Animal Aid of any illnesses or injury pre-existing and current the animal has or may have at the time of admission and communicate dietary requirements, medications or treatments required.
      If veterinary treatment is required for your animal during its stay the owner is responsible for all incurred expenses. Should your animal be deemed to require veterinary attention by Animal Aid, all efforts will be made to contact the owner or emergency contact to seek authorisation for veterinary treatment. Should those contacts be unreachable, you authorise Animal Aids veterinarian to act on your behalf and administer any necessary treatments including ending any suffering.
    • Animal Aid will take reasonable precautions to prevent illness and injury during your animals stay but does not accept responsibility for accidents, injury, illness, death or loss or damage of any kind to the animal or items provided by the customer.
    • You release, waive and discharge Animal Aid, its officers, agents, volunteers and employees of and from all liability, claims or demands for all injuries, losses, damages of any kind or nature to your person, animal or property.
    • In the event an owner is unable make full payment of the boarding account, Animal Aid may withhold release of the animal from boarding and will provide a notice of outstanding debt, giving 14 days’ notice for the account to be settled. Should the account not be settled within that time frame the animal will be considered abandoned in accordance with section 65 & 66 of the Domestic Animals Act.
    • In the event an owner is unable to collect their animal/s by the end of the agreed boarding period and an extension has not been granted, Animal Aid will provide notice of abandonment to the owner via the documented postal address giving 14 days for the collection of the animal/s. Failure to comply with the terms of the abandonment letter may result in the animal/s being relinquished to the Animal Aid Shelter; becoming the property of Animal Aid under section 65 & 66 of the Domestic Animals Act.
    • Animal Aid reserves the right to request collection of an animal at any time should it be deemed the safety of staff or animals is at risk, or if other reasonable risks are identified. Upon notification, the animal will be collected within 24 hours.
    • High Care animals are at greater risk of illness or injury during boarding due to medical or behavioural issues and should concerns arise Animal Aid will upgrade care needs accordingly. The customer agrees to pay a higher rate for additional care if required.

    Payment

    • Payment for all boarding costs including any veterinary needs must be paid prior to the return of an animal.
    • A 50% payment will be required on arrival for all stays exceeding 4 weeks. Progress payments may be requested for stays greater than 4 weeks or beyond the agreed boarding period.
    • Peak period boarding is defined as December 20th to January 31st and Easter Thursday to Easter Tuesday.
    • A $100 deposit must be paid to secure peak period bookings. Deposits are non-transferable and non-refundable if cancellation is made less than 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
    • A minimum stay period applies the December to January and Easter Thursday to Tuesday peak periods. There are no refunds for early collection of animals during peak periods.
    • There is an additional charge for Victorian public holidays; $10 per dog per public holiday, $5 per cat per public holiday.

    Animal Care

    • All animals musthave a current vaccination (Dogs C5 – Cats F3) prior to the boarding stay.Vaccination records must be provided by the customer as evidence.Animals presenting with ticks, fleas, intestinal worms or other parasites on arrival or during their stay will be treated with parasiticides by Animal Aid with costs charged to the owner to enhance the care of all animals on-site.
    • Animal Aid may accommodate your animal in a shared kennel or exercise your dog in a group. Please advise Animal Aid if you have concerns or do not consent to these practices.
    • Animal Aid may take photos of your animals and use these on social media platforms. Please advise Animal Aid if you have concerns or do not consent to these practices.
    • Animal arrivals and departures will only be accepted between the hours 8:30am and 3:30pm daily (reception is closed public holidays)
    • Boarding is charged on a daily rate basis with all charges commencing on the day of arrival. Animals collected after 10:30am on the day of scheduled departure will incur the daily charge for that days boarding.
    • Animal Aid staff or volunteers will provide enrichment for your dog. This may include taking your dog for a lead walk off premise.
