WANT TO PLAY ANYFOLK? READ THIS FIRST!
Anyfolk is a free curated music & art showcase. It’s a regular safe space to gather, listen, create, and be part of something good. All are welcome to attend and performers are thoughtfully selected to reflect the heart of the event: connection, creativity, and artistry.
If possible, please come and experience an evening at Anyfolk so you can see exactly what you’re signing up for. Anyfolk is not an open mic or jam session. It might not be a great fit for every artist/band regardless of how talented or folk focused you are.
We book six artists in advance of each event to play 3 songs each. There's an intermission between acts 3 and 4. The show runs from roughly 7 to 9 pm.
If you submit the interest form and do not hear back, please know it’s not a reflection of your work—just the nature of the event.
Some things to note:
- All music must be original
- All instruments are required to be 100% acoustic—nothing plugs into anything anywhere
- We use a large-diaphragm condenser microphone to capture all instruments & vocals
- There is no soundcheck, just a pre-show meeting at 6:30 PM that you are required to attend
- There are no monitors
- The audience is required to stay silent during performances or they will be asked to leave
Artists receive the following for performing:
- High res photography of your set
- A mixed soundboard recording of your set
- Your name, social media handle, and upcoming shows in a printed brochure given to each attendee as they walk through the door
- Artists are NOT required to promote the show should promo interfere with an upcoming paid gig
Once booked:
You will receive an email by the Sunday before your performance with all the details of the evening that you’ll be playing which will include a graphic you can share, should you be interested in promoting the evening.
