Hello! The Cook County Creatives board would like to share a few important notes before you begin your application.
1. The dates for this year's event are: September 25 - October 6, 2026. Locations are expected to be open the full 10 days from 10am - 5pm.
2. Studio Hosts and Galleries are required to fill out this application by the strict deadline of February 23, 2026. This application must be fully filled out and your participant fee submitted, via check, by the time this application closes. If your check is not submitted on time, your application will not be considered.
3. Guest Artists are not subject to the Selection Committee Process. They are selected by the Studio Host at the hosts’ discretion.
4. If you are a Studio Host planning to host a Guest Artist: It is your responsibility to communicate the timeline and requirements to your Guests, Cook County Creatives will not be reaching out to them on your behalf. The Guest Artist Submission Form will open on Feb. 26, with all forms fully filled out by March 11, 2026 (no application process, simply submitting information required for the brochure/website).

Please upload 4-5 photos of your recent artwork. These photos should be professional quality and must be a minimum size of 4 x 6" at 300 dpi. If possible, please include at least three vertical images, as well as at least one image that optimally fills a square space with a focus on color and texture for the brochure.

GALLERIES: Please upload your logo. We prefer both a single color black logo and a full color logo, both vertically-oriented logo, if available. The logo must be in the format of EPS or PNG file format at 300 dpi to be considered.

2026 Selection Process Overview. Applications will be reviewed at the February Cook County Creative's board meeting and participants will be notified after. PAYMENT: Along with completing this application you must submit a check, for the amount of Participation Fee. Must be post dated by the application deadline of Feb. 23, 2026.
Fees are as follow: Studio Host Artist: $250. Guest Artist: $200. Gallery: $350. If you are accepted to participate, your check will be processed, once you are notified of your selection. If you are not accepted, your check will be voided and destroyed. To be considered "on time" checks must be post-marked by Feb 23, 2026. Checks should be written out to "Cook County Creatives" and mailed to: Cook County Creatives PO Box 261 Grand Marais, MN 55604
