"It’s a Sign" is an exhibition of handmade signs. Signs of real or made up places, instructions, and advertisements. Signs are all around us, telling us which direction to go, when our favourite stores open, when our favourite band plays at our favourite pub.
Sometimes you even see a sign and think “this must be a sign!”
Exhibiting artists are to make a sign or include a sign of any kind within their work.
All mediums are welcome, but must be wall hangable. All works, if selected must include the proper hanging hardware (ie. wire, D-Hooks, alligator hooks).
Artists can submit up to three pieces, although the studio holds the discretion on how many pieces they can accept due to space constrictions.
Selected artists will be notified on August 30th via email with an acceptance package with further information.
Selected artists are responsible for drop off of work to The Corner Studio (located at 435 York Blvd) by Saturday Sept. 26th.
All art sales are subject to 30% commission fee to the gallery.
