Artists, arts administrators, and art enthusiasts are invited to Topeka to meet with State Legislators and tour the Capitol Building. Participants will recieve legislative updates, meet fellow advocates, engage with local legislators and share the impact of arts and creativity in Kansas!

Schedule for the Day:
8:30a - Check-in & Orientation (Room 251- S)
9:00a - Observe House Committee on Appropriations (Room 112-N)
9:30a - Observe Senate Committee on Taxation (Room 548-S) - Optional
10:00a - Pick up packets and distribute to Legislative offices (Room 251-S) (Pair up and return anything that does not get delivered so we know who we missed)
10:30a - Observe Senate Committee on Ways & Means (Room 548-S) - Optional
1:30p - Observe House Committee on Commerce, Labor & Economic Development (Room 346-S) - Optional
1:30p - Observe Senate Committee on Commerce (Room 159-S) - Optional
2:00p - HOUSE/SENATE IN SESSION
3:30p - Observe House Committee on Agriculture & Natural Resources Budget (Room 112-N) - Optional

More on parking: Free parking spots are located in the garage beneath the building. Enter the garage from 8th Avenue, near Harrison Street. Metered parking is available on nearby streets - Harrison Street, 10th Avenue or Jackson Street. If you park on those streets, just walk to the north entrance facing 8th Avenue.
