Songwriting and Recording Club [SaRC] is a weekly gathering for students who are serious about songwriting, producing, and recording. Students will have their creative muscles challenged and exercised as they explore lyric and hook writing, rhyme, meter, story-telling, co-writing, midi programming, and recording technology. Each student will have the opportunity to cut an original song on the end-of-year recording project. Final mixes will be unveiled at our CD Release Party.
The songs that make it to the final project will be published.
SaRC is run by Mark Woodward. Mr. Woodward wrote over 200 songs in his middle school and high school years, receiving a Presidential Scholarship to Belmont University where he majored in Commercial Music with an emphasis in Recording Technology.
