Songwriting and Recording Club [SaRC] is for students who are interested in writing and recording their own songs or instrumental pieces. Students will explore lyric writing, hooks, rhyming, meter, story-telling, and co-writing. Their creative muscles will be challenged and exercised! Each student will have the opportunity to record something they have written. The final mixes of everyone’s work will be unveiled at our yearly CD Release Party on the last full day of school.
All students will receive a copy of the full CD, and several copies will go into the Music Room CD library, available to be heard by future Montessori Academy students.
In addition to the CD, SaRC members will have the opportunity to compose a piece to be performed by the 3rd level Recorder class.
SaRC is run by Mark Woodward. Mr. Woodward is a composer and producer with 9 years of experience in developing student creative and musical talent.
