  • Mrs. Shepard, our Room 11 teacher, is excited to introduce Board Game Club! Board games are more than just a fun pastime; they are powerful educational tools with numerous benefits. Board Game Club will offer a mix of classic and modern board games, as well as beloved card games.

There are Benefits in Board Gaming:

-Cognitive Skills: Games challenge the mind! They enhance memory, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking.
-Social Skills: Playing board games fosters communication, teamwork, and teaches children to handle winning or losing gracefully.
-Patience and Concentration: Waiting for turns and focusing on strategy cultivates patience and sharpens concentration.
-Creativity Boost: With countless scenarios in games, children often come up with innovative strategies and solutions.

Each week Board Game Club will feature 4 board games for children to play with friends. Additional games will also be available to play when the “main” games draw to a conclusion.
