"Rhythm, Ritual, and Renewal: Navigating Loss through the 13 Moons"
As an ethnomusicologist, touring percussionist, and educator, Griffin Brady has spent his life exploring how rhythm connects us. However, his most profound lessons didn’t come from a stage or a classroom, but from the deeply personal journey of creating Slyboots. It is a story told through the lens of love and mentorship, the weight of devastating loss, and a eventual renewal guided by the cycles of the moon.
In this intimate dialogue, Griffin shares how grief reshaped his art and how the lunar cycle became the framework for his healing and creativity—ultimately birthing the 13 Moons to Mastery philosophy. This is not a traditional performance; it is a conversation about what it means to keep creating when your heart is broken, how art becomes prayer, and how rhythm becomes a way home.
