Remember that we mainly connect and background checks will be done on special request only. If we are successfull connection you, a success fee of $150 applies if you don't chose to become a premium member.

With this DIY membership we assist your search and hosting success with guides, forms, templates, interview questions, agreements, tips for settling in and general information. This is all included in the DIY membership fee and accessible via our forum through which you receive further customised support from Au Pair Assist and our other wonderful member families.

You can chose to post a copy of your search profile to our Facebook page from which we can share to our network. The honesty/success fee applies.

Premium members will benefit from a more active introduction to suitable au pairs for your family, which are au pairs we usually have communicated with and those who like to have an agent at their side

Please tick only those boxes which are important to you. Although you might like a clean police check, this usually says nothing about the au pair at all. Vaccination might be important for families with a newborn. Be honest and reflective about your needs and what you can cater for, incl. dietary requirements.

This information is needed to find a good match for you. Hosting an au pair is not easy, every time new challenges need to be mastered. Even host families with a long history of success would have had one less than ideal candidate.

Please describe what you expect from your au pair, where help is urgently needed, what you hope for personality wise. Be honest with yourself, reflect on your strength and weaknesses as a family.

You might love a wonderfully creative au pair,  who loves entertaining the children, but maybe she is less great in fulfilling the light household duities. Don't forget, we can always assist you and support you and your au pair to build a good relationship.
